Canvas Nursery Art!

About a month ago we had a craft party!

We all brought snacks, made punch, and ordered pizza.

Each one of us brought the supplies for a craft to share with the others.

This one was our canvas art project, 

we decided to use paint&glitter and come up with something awesome :)

 My canvas is the black one in the bottom right.

You know, the one sopping wet with paint.

Oops.

But the Nursery one I made is the gray one above mine.

I used masking tape to put the letters

X + A

on it.

Then I covered the entire thing with mod podge,

dumped a TON of glitter on it and waited a few minutes.

Once I peeled the tape off this is what we saw. 

[For the glitter part we did it inside a cookie sheet so we could save extra and not make a huge mess]

Here is the final product!

All cleaned up and sealed on.

What was the verdict with mommy?

She loved it!

Fashion to Figure

A while back I was contacted by a clothing line,

Fashion To Figure

and was told I could get an item to showoff to you wonderful readers!

Then, the next week, I won a giveaway for another shirt!

The pictures below show one of them, and the other you will see in another post :)

Fashion to Figure is an awesome company. They make plus size clothes that are cute.

I can't even begin to tell you the number of times I have gone shopping and walked out empty handed.

I usually wear juniors/women in pants,

but shirts are another story.

 I was so so happy that their clothes not only fit, but they're cute, and they are flattering!

This week I have felt so dissconnected with technology. I swear, I have been having an extremely crappy week. But I know that this weekend my Soulie is coming home :) I can't wait!  So here is my 10 on 10, and Embrace the Camera, and a little Soulie lovee :D

 I'm telling you, my phone takes the worst pictures.
But I thought these faucets were awfully pretty for a public bathroom..shows what a $30,000 a year college gets ya ;)

 We are not allowed to have phones in this class, so quickly, me being such a rebel hiding my phone like a coward, snapped this photo.

 This is what we are thinking of doing to our bedroom when we move. We already have gray bedding and wanted to stick with a gray/black/green theme. I just think using green as our main wall color is too much.

High 5 Friday # 2

I am doing a quick update from my lovely cafe on campus :) I will be doing another one tonight for 10 on 10!   1 I wanted to share a funny little thing that recently happened to me. I belong to this page on facebook called "My county Online Yard Sale" And it is people all around our county who post whatever the heck they wanna sell! I met a girl on there, Shelby, and we had so much in common is was CRAZY! We had planned on swapping sweatshirts soon instead of buying them off each other since we are similar in size. Welll we both suck and never met up, and randomly she informs me We are cousins! Like whaaaat?! Turns out my biological dad(who you can read more about here where I write a letter to him and my adoptive Dad) has a sister I never knew about, and she had a son, and Shelby married him. Ta da! You made it through my entire rambling story :) Congrats!   2  I spent the entire day yesterday in the ER with Baby X's mom, thankfully she is okay, just has a lot of things hitting her all at once.  

 

This is my lunch, looks pretty yummy for hospital food, right? Wrong! The Ham and Cheese sandwich you see, had nacho cheese on it. Not normal cheese, nasty gooey nacho cheese. Ugh...just thinking about it is making me feel sick.

My week as consisted of TONS of reading, the downfall of a new semester, Public Speaking, History and Faith, Writing, and the Bible. Overload to the max! Thank god for cranberry juice and yogurt :)

No pretty picture to go along with this, but I get my student loan money soon, and tax money, and let's just say I will be having some nice outfit posts coming up ;)
I can't wait to buy some new threads!

I have never posted about this, but our dryer broke. Completely. So what do we do? Wash all our clothes and haul them to the laundromat...but my lovely mother is going to fix it with her tax moneyyy! WOOOO HOOO!!!
(for all who don't know, I live with my mom while going to school (: )

Things I love...

Today I had the opportunity to watch baby X again :)

Honestly, nothing makes me  happier than watching him!

We decided to have an impromptu photo sesh with James.

James likes to pretend he is a big brother for a few hours.

Since I used to work in a photo studio James thinks I am some photography genius(I am no where near, especially with NOTHING to work with!)

He wanted to help with this "huge awesome" photo shoot,

here are the results(beware, this is extremely photo heavy!).

 

This is Baby X, taken by my lovely boyfriend.

 

We imagine at this point is when he started getting frustrated, hence the fists!

 

Half smile? Must be doing something right :)

 

Just kidding. Wrong. Completely Wrong!

Here is James, looking MUCH older than 5. 

 

He has green hair gel in, and he is not very happy that you can't tell!

 

He has a new name for my blog every day, today he said that for his birthday when he turns 6(which is Jan. 3 btw) That my header needs to say "Happy Birthday James!". Silly kid, I may just have to listen..

 

He is soooo going to be a heart breaker when he grows up!

[I did not edit these one bit, he is simply sitting on a laundry basket covered in a blanket...it was the best I could do!]

This is now the background on my Computer :) Other than Baby X looking "milk drunk" I just can't get enough of James playing Big Brother!

Even though I went to the Doctor today, and had an overall horrible day, once I got baby X things started looking up. I would say my little impromptu photo shoot was not an overall fail :D

Bundle of Love

This is Xavier Jayce, he is my best friend's son. He means the world to me. I have a feeling the more you read, the more you will hear about him and the more you will see him.
He is something special, that's for sure!
