Awesome girl, Awesome shop!

Hello! I am Melissa and I blog over at The Life of a Not So Ordinary Wife. I am a not so simple girl who obsesses over a new hobby about every week or so which let me tell you comes in handy when you're looking for new blog material! I've been married for 7 years to the love of my life and have been a pastors kid almost my full 27 years of living. Exciting, I know! I also have the whole sarcasm thing down pretty well ;) I have been blogging since February of this year and it has already taken over my world. HA, I LOVE it, like seriously love it. Oh and the friends I'm making while I'm doing something I love... ya, crazy, I know.
Enough about me, today I am here to tell you about my new pride and joy, my new baby, the cheese to my macaroni, the icing to my cupcake, the pop to my tarts... Bet you are wondering what I'm talking about right about now. You guessed it! My new shop!!!!! AND THE CROWD GOES WILD!
I am so beyond excited to introduce to you The Not So Ordinary Shop. In the shop I am selling some fabulous Camera Strap Covers.
Why Camera Strap Covers? Well I bought my first DSLR about a month ago and I sewed a strapped for it because the Canon strap that it came with was totally DRAB. I first looked online everywhere for strap covers and I had a hard time finding really cute ones for under $25. I thought it doesn't seem like they should cost that much. So I started thinking about starting a shop where I could sell fabulous camera strap covers at a price everyone could afford. As soon as I told my husband he was behind me 110%, I mean he was writing notes and building equations, I was impressed. I said, if you are in, I am in... SO HERE WE ARE!
Now who doesn't need their camera all glammed up?  The camera strap covers are easily changeable and simply slides over your existing camera strap! The default measurements are approximately 25" long and 2.5" wide and will fit any DSLR or SLR camera. We also do custom measurements at no extra charge on certain straps.
We have a lot of different designs in the shop right now, but there are no "set" designs, so when you see one you like grab it because it might be the last time you will see that exact one. We will be getting new designs all the time, so keep checking back.
SOME GOOD NEWS...
In the store the covers start at $10 each plus shipping, but in celebration of the grand opening you can use the code "CELEBRATE" and get them 25% off, which means some are only $7.50 plus shipping!!
Enter below for the giveaway and don't forget to stop by my blog and/or shop and say Hi!

The other Me

Have you heard of this little thing going around the blogosphere,

Blog Angels?

As soon as I heard of it,
I knew it was something I wanted to do.

What is Blog Angels?
This is a link up where you sign up to be paired with someone to become their 'angel'; a secret helper and new friend who will help to make their blogging day....for a whole month.

You might comment on the blog regularly, offer help with a new project or invite them to take part in something that you are organising. You might make them a new blog button, teach them some html or give them shout outs via social media.  Whatever you do, and the possibilities for blog kindness is endless, it's about giving someone your time and kindness to have an awesome blogging experience.
Here is a little about my blog angel experience this far:

What have you learned about yourself from helped another blogger?
I haven't learned anything really, it is just something I love doing, and it makes my heart smile so big knowing that this is something we all love doing.

What has been the most fun? Most Frustrating?
Most fun is by far creeping my blog angel and getting to know her!
The frustrating part is, she doesn't post often and I am having a hard time figuring out how to be more special.

Has being a Blog Angel changed your approach to blogging? How?
This is similar to how I feel about question one. This is something I would do normally, but I do like how this way I feel more intentional and accountable that I am doing something for someone else :)

Have you been trying to work out who is helping you or are you more concerned with helping others?
Well in the beginning every new comment or follower I went and creeped ;)
But I got so many I couldn't keep up!
I'm happy whoever it is :)

xoxo

Lack of creativity solution:

Lately I have been having a tough time coming up with awesome posts for you guys, so I decided to open up guest posts to my sponsors to get some new things flowing around here.

Nothing is more awesome than someone opening their new shop!
What's even better is I have been looking for someone to make me some custom prints,
and now I've found her!

So check out her shop and her blog and everything else because she is amazing!
(An who doesn't love to read a blog with a pretty chevron design? hehe)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hey everyone! My name is Danielle and I blog over at Framed Frosting. I am so thrilled to be here today to share with you a new project I've been working on!
About Me: I first began my blog in April of last year as a way to document the end of my high school years. Now it has evolved to be about all things fashion and beauty related. I love to bake too and am hoping to include some more recipes on the blog soon along with some fun DIY projects too. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ So a few weeks ago, I had this fabulous idea to combine my love for baking and typography. It just so happened to work out that my blog name, Framed Frosting, worked well with the new shop. I've been working on quite a few designs lately and I LOVED how they all turned out. So it got me thinking... I wonder if I could open my own shop? I figured I'd give it a try first over at Society6. This website is fabulous because they do ALL of the printing and shipping for you! This means that I have a lot more time to spend designing.
In my shop you'll find me selling recipe art prints like my favorite, Best Ever Banana Muffins, seen below. These recipes are ones straight from my own kitchen and are sure to be quite delicious when you make them! Everything from Gingersnap Cookies to Cashew Brittle and so much more!
I'm also selling a few home decor prints. My mission is to create every piece unique and make sure it has a simple, yet sophisticated look. I'm currently having a lot of fun with summertime beach prints.
Life is a Beach
Toes in the Sand In the upcoming weeks, I'm hoping to launch my Storenvy shop where I'll be able to offer a lot more prints. I'll also be able to offer custom prints. These will be a little bit more expensive than a pre-made, but they will be much more personalized. You'll get to pick your quote or recipe and the colors you'd like me to use too. I plan on offering three sizes: 5x7s, 8x10s, and 11x14s.
If you're interested in your own custom print, please find me on Twitter or send me an e-mail. I'd be more than happy to work on something for you. Just let me know what you have in mind. You can also find me blogging about fashion and lifestyle here or on Facebook too.

Fashion to Figure

A while back I was contacted by a clothing line,
and was told I could get an item to showoff to you wonderful readers!

Then, the next week, I won a giveaway for another shirt!
The pictures below show one of them, and the other you will see in another post :)

Fashion to Figure is an awesome company. They make plus size clothes that are cute.
I can't even begin to tell you the number of times I have gone shopping and walked out empty handed.
I usually wear juniors/women in pants,
but shirts are another story.

I was so so happy that their clothes not only fit, but they're cute, and they are flattering!

So what do you think? Do you like it?

I will take better pictures soon, these don't show off the fact it is shimmery!

What can happen in a week?

I can't believe I have been neglecting my lovely little blog for a week!

If you know me, you know I am constantly complaining of my lack of friends and a social life.

Well,
In the past week, there has not been one day when I was alone.

I miss blogging,
I miss seeing my blogger dashboard.
I was so sad reading other people's blogs and knowing you weren't reading mine.

But I didn't sit down and blog.

Why?

Because sometimes, you just have to enjoy life.
I love my blog and every single person who reads it,
every person that I read,
but I was enjoying doing things I loved,
and not stopping.

Just to keep you up to date(a little)
here's some pictures :)
